We’re assembling high-quality carbon-removal projects for a cohort of corporate buyers to issue offtake contracts later this year.

Key dates:

• Application deadline: August 8 2025

• Short-list interviews: August - September

• Contract negotiations & pricing October - December

Background:

This cohort of buyers is seeking purchases of 100 to 10,000 tons with delivery timelines of 12 - 18 months. Given that timeline, biochar, biomass burial, and BiCRS and BECCS are likely the best candidates.

The group is also open to rock weathering projects with exceptional MRV, ocean-based pathways that are already deploying, nature based pathways including soil carbon, and other unique approaches that are newer to the market. DAC is likely not a good fit because of pricing concerns but on the off chance you can deliver on this timeline at <$200/ton we want to hear about it.

We also appreciate business models that generate revenue or co-benefits beyond carbon credits so make sure to highlight that.

Geography focus: Open to opportunities worldwide. Some areas of particular interest are U.S. projects in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey; as well as Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, UK, and Vietnam.

Each member of the Buyers Club will likely be making their own individual purchases.
