Many great ideas get stuck on the starting line of "what if it doesn't work" or "this is silly". To overcome that, this is smart mechanism to take an idea you have, write 500 words on it, and get funds to take the first step.

I even had people who aren't "in" greenhouse gas removal decided to apply because they had an idea they wanted to contribute.

Many of those selected are not going to work. But those that succeed could potentially become the most significant breakthrough solutions to reverse climate change.

I would love to see more prizes like this, a few thousand dollars for a few hundred words to take the first step on a new possibility.
