Creating a Customer Hypothesis

  • Hypothesis Pitfalls - 5 min video (UBC, hosted by Paul Cubbon)

  • Prep for your group discussions by sketching out:

    • What is the business problem that your technology solves or aims to solve?

    • Who would pay to solve that problem? Why?

    • Who else do you need involved to solve that problem? (partners, distribution, fulfillment, decision makers, users)

    • Who is a key opinion leader in the industry you could talk to about this?

      • This next week you’ll schedule an interview with them. Over the next 6 weeks you’ll interview a total of 31 key opinion leaders, industry experts, and potential customers.
